Author: The JT LeRoy Story

This is one of those documentaries where it's better to go in knowing as little as possible about the story. I was especially amazed in the ways in which the story weaved its way through other interests of mine, in film, TV, music and beyond. It's a well-made documentary, with plenty of visual flourishes that I enjoyed, but which some may find annoying. It's a pretty crazy and impressive story, and definitely worth a watch.

The fraud/'true fiction' issue was all left unsatisfyingly unresolved/ Feel that the time the filmmakers spent hur-hurring at misery-porn loving celebs could've been better spent.
