Audrie & Daisy

Basically a snuff film. Definition of how NOT to make a documentary. The narrative is pedestrian, patronizing and unbelievably exploitative. Fuck this garbage. It's morally repugnant for adults to exploit adolescents like this. The suicide of the title character is proof of how awful this is. That death falls on the hands primarily of Netflix and the filmmakers involved.

Compelling documentary that involves the combination of teens, sexual abuse and social media.

The film is certainly biased towards the "victims", especially in the case of Daisy, where the accused was set free because of lack of evidence, but it's hard not to believe the girls after watching them during their meeting. Unless they are very good actors or total sociopaths, you have to think that the town did indeed protect the rapists.
