Attack of the Killer Tomatoes!

There is a jaw-dropping helicopter crash near the beginning that is rumored to be an actual accidental crash. If it isn't real than it's the greatest fake since (insert sad sexual experience).

This is an odd movie; it is thoroughly enjoyable and quite funny. Best line: scientist #1 "Technically, tomatoes are gay." scientist #2 "He means fruit."

Cheezy horror spoof, but completely unfunny. Okay when I was a kid, but not anymore.

This is awful. While it predated other attempts to mix humor and horror, it is unfunny and boring. I enjoy movies that are supposed to be campy, but it seemed like the filmmakers kept patting themselves on the back for "being clever".

Stupid and entertaining

Great, cheesy movie. Creates a terrific and zany mood and realizes how silly it is and just rolls with it. Great performances all around by mostly no names who really didn't do much with their careers after this movie. The special effects are clearly shit, but that just adds to the humor of this movie.

It has its moments but ultimately they were just trying too hard. For a really good B-movie spoof I'd recommend Garth Marenghi's Darkplace over this.

My history teacher in middle school had a weird obsession with tomatoes, and at the end of the year we watched this film.

Some movies are good. Other movies are bad. Other movies are so bad they get good again, and then you get this sort of movies... Can't get much worse..

On principle, I want to endorse this, but in reality, if you want to get high and laugh at someone else’s failure for a change, this is much too self aware of its own campiness to scratch the itch. Why tomatoes? They aren’t even charismatic as a concept. As an autist, I find this autistic in the most pejorative sense.

This 87 minute movie is about an hour too long. There are a couple of really good jokes, some goofy fun and bizarre random things. The rest is just boring. It's like they had some great ideas, shot a few pretty good scenes then didn't know how to fill out the rest of the runtime.

There's a germ of a good B-movie in here; unfortunately, it's filled with too much extraneous "humor" that is clearly just filling time.

This movie has a ridicules premise but it some how manages to work. Although some of the humour is dated there are actually some funny moments. Overall I would recommend this bizarre and original B-movie.

Despite being among the most famous spoofs ever made, it's really not too special. The plot- as little of it as there is- is jumbled by way too many characters & side stories, and while there's a few good gags most of the jokes stop being funny after the first 15 minutes- which is about when the novelty of the premise wears off. It's worth seeing once just for the experience, but ultimately it plays like a sketch comedy skit that's being drawn out for way too long- & it's not even 90 minutes.

Very funny. It doesn't quite hit the jokes per minute count of the absurdist comedy classics and it lacks any coherent narrative plotline - but I still cracked up laughing frequently. The film plays around with its concept satisfyingly, and it cleverly utilizes its limited budget for great comedic effect. In all, it's a great watch.

Been years since i've seen this. I remember very little but of what I do remember, it was mildly funny, super cheesy, and super ridiculous. Overall nothing special.

Okay Movie

One of those "It's so dumb, it's fun" cheap comedies. Sometimes recaptures the shoddy look and feel of the old films, although many of them are much funnier -- though they usually don't mean to be.

A pretty funny parody of the B-grade monster movie genre. It actually spawned a cartoon.

This has the best theme song.

The rare film (such as this) that actually aspires to be corny will NEVER be even remotely as entertaining as the dozens of examples (Reefer Madness, Plan 9, Zardoz, The Room, etc.) that achieve supreme corniness despite all attempts to the contrary.

So corny it's awesome! Well, almost awesome. Not really awesome at all. But it is corny.

Turkey time!

Not bad as a farce but, when compared to the later "Kentucky Fried Movie" and "Amazon Women on the Moon" and then "Airplane" it doesn't compare that well. A beer & popcorn movie for those who don't mind admitting to having a somewhat off-key sense of humor.

Ridiculous and nothing more.

Really campy and terrible, but it makes a fine example of how to make a competent low budget film that people remember.

One of the campiest films ever, but the thing is... That's the point! It's great for what it is: a parody of b-grade monster movies from the 50's. It's pure ridiculousness with a touch of brilliance. Meh!
