The film in the film is just brilliant. Afterwards it became a bit too easy, but after all I like the message Anna Odell wants to tell. Namely, the things we do as a child are not marked out at the end of childhood. We can use it for the good or the bad.

Brings back the good old schooldays!

A bit mixed on this; it was a fresh idea with a raw execution, but IMO it might have worked better as either as a document or as a satire based on the film makers experiences. Now it's clearly struggling to fill ~90mins. While bullying is no doubt an important issue today, and the film did give food for thought and made me revisit my own school years, It could also be seen as way for the film maker to "take revenge" after all these years - especially keeping mind that it's based on real people.

It's raw and it's great and just when I thought it was going in the wrong direction it throws a wrench into the mix and raises things to another level. I really enjoyed the film as a character study, but even more as an exploration of social dynamics as it takes several layered approaches to the subject.

The first third of the film was quite compelling, the second third was interesting in a slow-burning way, and the final third felt like an artist out of ideas bluffing her way towards a 90-minute runtime. Anna Odell displays her considerable talents as an actress, a director and a writer, but this was a 60-minute film in a 90-minute package. I would have loved to have seen the premise of the opening third fully developed into a kind of psychological thriller.
