Kilmer is decent, and the story held my attention. The concept of learning how to see was neat, but the movie as a whole was pretty forgettable.

a pretty good love story, it may not be powerful like shindler's list or classic like the godfather, but it's likable, and even though it's not particualarly great in any way (except kilmer) it'll sweep you off your feet.

It wants to make you cry with how touching and emotional it is that it just feels contrived and annoying. I mean yes there are worse romances out there but that still doesn't make it any better.

Pretty much as expected. A little long & sometimes slow, but serviceable. A couple good scenes that get at ya.

Ok. I wonder why Val Kilmer wastes himself in these corny roles. The movie's an attempted tearjerker about a blind man regaining his sight but finding that vision really isn't all that its hyped up to be.

More of a physical achievement in moviemaking than a piece of storytelling, but I do recommend it on that basis.

This is a love story that lacked passion except for a couple of massage scenes. It seemed like the sister and girlfriend were interchangeable, making it forgettable.

Feel really bad for the guy for half the movie, with how little empathy he is shown by the woman who threw him into a new shitshow he was not used to, acting like she knows better about his own life. I guess it is more about invisible disabilities than actually a romance, for me, though the tone is odd in how it makes it sound like only the guy has to change, as if the responsibility is one-sided
