Asylum

Stupid horror movie that typecasts it's self into the genre so completely that you could watch the opening credits and let your mind complete the rest of the story. In fact, that's a novel idea.

So completely by-the-numbers it boggles the mind. Includes the most incredible dropped Chekhov's Gun ever, though - her dead brother is the focus of the first twenty minutes, and then studiously NEVER MENTIONED AGAIN.

You have the ability to tailor your death scenes to the specific weakness of each victim. You can create absolutely horrifying ways to kill all of the people in the movie. And yet, all that happens is a little buildup followed by a throat slash. Yawn. Add that into the muddled logic behind the victim, some shallow characters -- although who expects horror victims to be deep? -- as well as poor writing and acting, and you've got a forgettable slasher not worth discussing.

Pretty Bad

The graphics are decent but the characters are all reidculous stereotypes worst of all they don't even stick to their stero-types. You have Jock spilling his guts out: "Mommy did this and that, blah, blah--Woe just had some estrogen moments there! Ha ha. I'm going to hit the gym."

Average teen slasher as in mediocre but entertaining. The use of fears as a way to assassinate is cool enough. And Travis Van Winkle is cute enough too.
