Cute if you watch it with a child-like state of mind. Passable otherwise.

Somewhat slapstick comedy drama aimed at a young audience that unashamedly indulges in national stereotypes, but always tongue-in-cheek. Fine for adults to pass the time if, like me, you loved the Asterix books as a kid. Also fine if you like looking at Vincent Lacoste in a tight pair of jeans. (I remember when I looked that good...) New and modern and however some might like this or find it refreshing, I hated it. This was too modern and doenst' look one bit like Asterix.

It's a rip off of couple of Asterix comic book stories. They should write a own story for the movie instead of adapting the great comic book stories. It's a very bad idea to imitate a joke to the big screen 'cause its not as funny as it is in the comics. I hope that some day someboy writes something new about these characters for the movie.

Maybe not the best film in the Asterix series, but still quite well done - even considering the fact that the Asterix books are almost sacred in my family. The translation of jokes from book to film is extremely hard, but the team again manages very well. Not excellent, certainly enjoyable.
