Astérix et Cléopâtre

I've read every Asterix issue (excluding some of the new ones by Uderzo) at least ten times, and this does a good job preserving the spirit of the comics.

The animation is kind of rough and cheap, but kids can like all the construction shenanigan, and the various visual gags and Egyptian themes. The songs can be catchy too.

Hübsches Näschen.

I used to love this as a kid, but unfortunately this doesn’t hold up at all. The animation is terrible and the writing almost as lazy.

It's badly paced and even worse animated, but a movie this quotable, not to mention with such ear worm songs, is a small masterpiece in my book.

As time went by, the disc got damaged, and the songs got more and more obnoxious, not due to the disc damage, mind you

I remember liking this as a kid, but rewatching this as an adult wasn't a particularly worthwhile experience. It just made me want to re-read the comics to find out if they'd still hold up any better.

Much better than the first movie. If they would only made fight scenes more energic then it would be full 100. Now the action lacks the intensivity of comics.

As a kid, I watched this over and over until I could recite the dialogue from memory. Yeah, I was weird. Anyhoo, it's a fun cartoon that will always have a special place in my horribly deformed chimpanzee heart.

The story may be mostly for the kids, but the gags that range from the absurd to the surreal will definitely entertain most adults. Mostly you should watch it to see how the great Sphinx really lost her nose.

Godd as the rest.

One of my favorites in the Astérix series.

Easily one of the funniest animated movies of all time. I can watch it over and over again - and have been doing so for 30 years.

Better than the first movie, nearly as funny as the comic books.
