Stunning War Movie with awesome fighting scenes. but there's more than only violence. something is wrong behind the "red" curtain.Assembly is another great asian War Movie and together with "Brotherhood" one of the best in years.

A great performance by Zhang Hanyu, really did a great job throughout the film showing the different stages of Gu Zidi's life.

Politically correct war movie. Gritty and realistic battle scenes are very well filmed. However, plot is full of overdone melodrama and pathos.

No more overtly patriotic than an American war movie, "Assembly" is a must watch for any avid WWII fan, and it's equally important in showing excellent depiction of war and slices of Chinese history and culture. In addition to that, it's simply a very entertaining, and sometimes moving story.
