Ashes of Vengeance

I guess this Norma Talmadge feature is a silent variation of a mixed bag costume drama. These films are always a bit too romantic, especially when there is a lady up-front like the most famous Talmadge sister here. All the men are at her service, both in the story and in the production to make her look good. Not sure how lackluster this would have been had it not had Conway Tearle & Wallace Beery to elevate it, but those two did their fair share for this film! Nothing terrible and little great.
