Juvenile Charles Band-produced _Tron_ ripoff. Likable actors but cheap FX; this much-delayed video fodder is mostly for undemanding kids with 85 minutes to kill.

I have been watching lots of trashy movies lately, but this one takes the crown. What does oversized flannel shirts, Pearl Jam, suburban angst, shitty 3-d graphics and teenagers with spiky haircuts have in common? If you guessed that it all reeks like the early 90's, you are right. The cinematography is on the level of corporate training videos produced back then, some scenes seemed to be shot in IKEA offices. This film gets extra points for astonishing me by its shittyness.

A sort of Tron ripoff based in a new generation of video games, this film is a mess with a ramshackle script that seems to have no idea of momentum, but tells a basic story which hints at the disturbing relationship between families and virtual realities.

Where are the parents!? A fledging rip-off of/homage to the NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET series. I want to live in this world where nearly every indoor space has a fog machine.
