Set in modern day Buenos Aires, the film centers around a relationship between two emotionally crippled roommates. Adrian LeDuc(Colin Firth) is a lonely sociopath who is forced to rent his insane mothers room due to poor ticket sales at his revival movie theater. Jack Carney (Hart Bochner), the new roommate, appears normal enough at first but it soon becomes apparent that he is hiding something. (imdb)

Strange little film, very well acted by both leads, gets under the skin. Haunting score and striking final moment.

The peculiar tale of a reclusive film buff named Adrian, and his charmingly manipulative,(bordering on supernatural)tenant. The dark and rough and ready approach to storytelling that this film employs leaves much up to interpretation, consequently Apartment Zero won't be for everyone. Apartment Zero is a must watch for anyone whom enjoys edgy dark comedy or enjoys social analyse. Two negatives I personally attach to the film is discerning the comedy from what's serious and the predictable plot.

I don't even know why i like this film so much. The acting could be better, as could the direction however i really can see why it is a cult film. The characters draw me in and there is not a single one that i wouldn't love to know more about. The script is good and the dark comedy keeps the viewer engaged throughout.

I stopped watching maybe 30 minutes in after waiting for the film to start. Maybe it starts 45 mins in, I don't care if it does, this needs editing

Deeply weird pitch black comedy. The acting is first rate - tiny nuances on the actors faces (often in extreme close-up) reinforce the air of menace. Similar to, but better than, Polanski's The Tenant.

Hart Bochner is SO damn creepy in this, depsite that all american grin. Colin Firth is also good value. Worth it's weight in popcorn
