A young man falls in love with a beautiful blonde. When he sees her being forced onto a luxury liner, he decides to follow and rescue her. However, he discovers that she is an English heiress who ran away from home and is now being returned to England. He also discovers that his boss is on the ship. This is a movie that should have been made a couple of years earlier, before the code came into place. It's one of those less moral numbers with lots of fun and games, but which can't be too fun anymore in 1936 because of the Hays office. But we get the musical actors Bing Crosby & Ethel Merman singing their hearts out and it's got sweet, but not so innocent Ida Lupino. While Charles Ruggles is the man for the comedy as a conman. Plenty of bits of fun, but a little messy narratively.
