Sort of a low-budget Shortcuts, set in the Flemish port city of Antwerp on a warm day in June. Natalie, her brother Chouki, her boyfriend Walter and his ex Lara, the gallery keeper Firmin, unhappily married French language teacher Paul Garcin, a couple of party-loving studs from Ghent (another Flemish city) and the weird mister Winterman, independently go about their lives, which have little in common, yet all end up on the same place for a grand party that evening. As a whole, it feels entirely inconsequential, but each segment contains enough energy, mood and creative spark to maintain interest throughout, and as 'nen antwerpenaar', I always enjoy watching a movie shot in my hometown. Sometimes, I don't mind watching movies with little to no narrative or character development, as long as they feel fresh, fun and incredibly alive. Also features a great cast and nice jazzy soundtrack to cap it off.

Some characters stood out for me (boys from Ghent, the kiss-fan), but for others I didn't had intrest at all. It's the problem with those kind of movies who have a lot of leading roles, but little character development. Can't say a bad word about the music and camerawork . However, It needed more scene's like the partyscene (my favorite one) with rambling conversations and crazy people living their life. I really wanted to be at that party!
