I didn't totally fall in love with this, but its no doubt a funny Czechoslovakia comedy! Vlasta Burian is a sharpshooter who gets a little careless when drunk. So when he doesn't get his medal he starts mouthing off the authority, including the Emperor. That means jail time. And he gets a little insecure about his punishment once sobered up and tries to figure out a genius scheme. That means stupid ideas and the rest is him falling more and more into trouble. Burian is excellent.
