Joey Lauren Adams has never really been a top Hollywood actress, but she somehow managed to fall an unbelievably long way to rock bottom. There isn't an ounce of originality, nor a gram of quality in all the hackneyed elements from the boring, stilted dialog to the ineffective monster design. I could go on, but why bother? It sucks.

Thought this might be a fun little low budget monster flick, but it was just mind-bogglingly god-awful.

good alien design; stupid human behaviours

The summary is weirdly inaccurate. They aren't particularly close-nit, some only meet during the night of the film's action; one short scene of a guy blurting out a sexual connection isn't long-buried secrets being revealed; there are no differences being put aside to fight for survival - the 'buried secret' difference doesn't stop them working together, the differences that do cause problems are not put aside at all, rising body count notwithstanding. Summary sounds worse than it actually is.
