Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging

I'm so glad a movie exists that teaches preteen girls that if you're unbearably selfish, shallow, entitled, and judgmental, that everything in your life will be perfect as long as you do some yoga and give a single, half-assed apology. Yikes.

Alan Davies is good. I don't know who wrote the script. Acting was piss poor from the main cast really. Aaron Johnson is a complete dick as well.

It was weird a little

Top badass moment? It’s a horrible version, but any film that includes a track by the Undertones is badass in my book. Like an old b/w British comedy, this movie feels like it came from a world that no longer exists, although in this case I'm far from convinced it ever did. It's funny, cringeworthy, the ending gave me really bad indigestion and it has a good feel factor so big it's socially embarrassing. 2 cats (and sorry, but Angus really is an ugly one), no chainsaws or decapitations.

It's a formulaic teen flick, but it's pretty adorable and quite hilarious. It creates its own bottled up little world, so it's safe to say it knows exactly what it's doing. None of its self-awarenesss frees it from falling into genre convention, but seems to makes it more tolerable. Overall, it delivers a heartfelt and humorous story for the middle/high school demographic.

Fucking awful. Obviously I'm as far from the target audience as you can get but I hate to break it to any parents of coming on 15 year old girls, they aren't this naive when it comes to sex. To me the script sounded like it was written by someone my age who thinks they know what teenager talk like. I could be wrong, it seems to have done well enough for it to have landed, but aim higher with your movies, teens...

Tenho um fraco por filme de adolescente. Provavelmente porque quando era adolescente estava ocupada demais vendo os filme francês mudo com áudio original em alemão. Porque eu era insuportável. Devia ter assistido mais filme de menina e virado um serumano menos doente.
