It was bound to happen, sooner or later. The raucous and lovable characters from the wildly successful American Pie series have gone and done it -- well they're planning on doing it. Really soon. In front of everyone they know. In a big way. Jim (Biggs) and Michelle (Hannigan) are getting married. (Universal Pictures)

I actually like this one. This feels like your typical AP movie, but they are some nice undertones with it about things that don't pertain to the dirty. It's kind of refreshing to get that while it still disguises itself as the same raunchy comedy that fit this franchise. It's pretty predictable, but you kinda come to expect that. American Wedding still feels like it's predecessors, but has taken little steps into differentiate itself in a different direction that is much needed.

Much better movie than American Pie 2. Actors are very familiar and their performance is getting better. Maybe it's not so funny as the first movie.

Surprisingly not terrible for the 3rd instalment in a comedy franchise. This one just amped up the awkward and gross jokes. However, it's odd that a few main characters from the other films didn't show up.

American Wedding is marginally better than it's predecessor but the franchise became something of a desperate money spinner. The silliness and grotesque moments remain, but it doesn't feel as repetitive as the second film did. The main characters return, but the unfunny supporting characters are absent and the film benefits for it. The novelty of Sean William Scott's character has warn off though. However his dance off in the gay bar is hilarious. Watchable but definitely time to call it a day.

I don't know - I can see and intellectually acknowledge it as an extremely flawed attempt to cash in at the same bank a third time, but as much as my inner film critic may want to I can't hate these characters. I was amused by it. Stifler makes me laugh. Sue me.

Essentially just more of the same, but a more leisurely pacing (and less relentless hammering of the gags) make this arguably the best of the trilogy, with all the principal cast members seemingly more relaxed and confident with their now-familiar characters. As usual, the humour is fairly up front and set ups are telegraphed from miles away, but there are still some genuinely funny pay-offs here, especially from perhaps surprising stand-out Scott.

rvw, it's not actually that good but it lives off momentum and the characters. i wish oz was in it lol. it was just pretty artless and some scenes dragged on like when hiding the strippers. and stifler was too much of a focus, and a frequent part of this movie being worse lol but he also saved the movie at times.

The blatant false advertising starts on the cover of the VHS tape. Seriously, there's no wedding pie in this one. Also, the lack of Chris Klein and his A lister acting chops detracts from the score. Still, Seann William Scott is worth the price of admission.

Either this movie is one of the cringiest and laziest of all time, the director is incompetent and couldn't get enough decent takes ever, or the editor is on drugs. Or maybe all of the above.

A step up from part 2, there is a reason for the gangs gathering and an attempt to show they have grown a little bit emotionally since the first adventure. Still obviously designed for complete comedic debauchery. Fun in ways, absolutely absurd in others these films definitely do not hold up over time.

'Wedding' is when they realised that Jim and Michelle are the emotional heart of the franchise and Stifler is it's most memorable character, so why not push them all front and centre, and it works! Again, if you like 'Pie' you'll like this, if you don't this obviously isn't for you.

American Wedding still contains all of the awkward humor and outrageous scenes we grew to love from the first two. This film however has a level of heart that the originals only toyed with. Not to mention featuring probably Sean William Scott's most adoring portrayal of Stifler.

American Wedding is the worst (so far) in the American Pie series, and that's kind of saying something, isn't it? I mean, neither earlier film was particularly enjoyable, so why would we expect the third film to be funny? It's boring, unfunny, predictable, and pretty much exactly what you expect. The characters haven't really changed in three films now -- we just run them through slightly different stories each time.

More mature and more formulaic. This time the writers acknowledge that most of the characters in the American Pie series are awful people - but this just lets them be written into situations showcasing homophobia and sexism. The "serious" moments actually kind of work here but that doesn't make up for the lack of comedy or my lack of interest in the characters.

Better than the second one but still a bad movie. These movies always fall back on similar gags and they are old hat by now. This trilogy really did a terrible job in getting me invested in the characters. I just watched this and did not care one bit about any of them. A few decent laughs but you'll find better elsewhere. The side plot of Stifler maturing was about as subtle as a car wreck and was completely unbelievable. Too bad they couldn't have just ended the entire series with this one.

Stifler was the best character in the first movie. He was great. In this movie, Stifler is like a cartoon character. He used to be a character that everyone could relate to someone they know (or have known) in their life. In this one, he's completely ridiculous... it's like the directors forced him to "be funny now" and "be more zany". Ruined the movie.

Imagine that you are stuck at some family reunion, and you are sitting by some 11yr old distant relative that you barely knew, and he just find out that fart jokes are great amusement, and tells them all night long to you and laugh his ass of, while you have that "somebody just kill me" look on your face. Now put all those jokes in one movie, with bad acting, and voila... you get this! 10 points just because I laughed AT them, not WITH them.

A fun and cute movie that finally gets it right on the third try. It's much better written and acted, and the characters are likable instead of abrasive, like the earlier movies. Although, if you like Jason Biggs' character in this film, Loser is a much better character study. If you like nudity and/or chick flicks, take this one. I think this is where my dislike of Fred Willard began, though.
