American Satan

American Satan sports an compelling atmosphere that is a mix of eeriness, tension and depravity. The soundtrack is also pretty good. Unfortunately, the acting (barring McDowell) is fairly mediocre, and the character a little forgettable. Ultimately you get sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll, but with a plot that becomes less engaging as the film progresses.

Eclectic cast. Some are of course more polished than others. No one completely flops but there are a few scenes that don't quite measure up. I would recommend this more to people who are interested in and familiar with the music scenes Andy Biersack and Ben Bruce come from, but this was still entertaining and flowed well. Great soundtrack too.

Could have been named Behind the Music: Buckcherry but than even less people would see it.

As thin and superficial as the sub genre it depicts.
