Leaden and messy slice of the franchise is at least not as obnoxious as the worst entries, but there’s a flat, dispiriting paint-by-numbers credo to this entry that just feels overdrawn and tired. As is usually the case with these, the opening scene is a well-staged (ahem) curtain raiser that the rest of the film never manages to equal; it’s left to a likable if not especially distinguished cast to do what they can with the subpar material (Levy’s brief appearances add a faint jolt of energy).

As much as I identify with Stiffler in the original AP series (I've drunk my share of semen-laced beer and been allegedly involuntarily pissed on by other dudes too many times to mention), this one's just a bit over the top. It's not worth it to pay for the DVD or admission to see it in theaters, but honestly, it's a good way to waste time on a rainy weekend.

Despite sharing some locations and a couple of characters from it's parent franchise (Eugene Levy is sadly wasted) Band camp plays bum notes for most of it's running time, stumbling to successfully hit the story beats you would expect from the genre and finishing with a weak and unearned 'happy ending'. This really is nothing but a 'Pie' cash-in attempt.

The 4th installment of the Pie series is still fairly entertaining. The cast is almost all replaced except for Jim's dad and the Sherminator. Has the same feel as the originals just not quite to the same level, worth a view if you liked the first ones.

Can't say I fully get the hate. Not that different from the first AP movie. Missing a real cool soundtrack but 2005 was a bridge year for rock music really.

American Pie: Band Camp is about as good as you'd expect from a direct-to-video spinoff of a franchise that isn't good to begin with. No, wait, it's worse, since it doesn't even use its lesser financial risk as an excuse to take things in a new or riskier direction. It looks and feels cheap, has shallow characters, very few actual jokes -- it's worse in this respect than any of its predecessors -- and bad acting.

Not so nice, kind of "Let's do pranks!! A lot of pranks!!" scenario! Not an American Pie film, lacking the classic American Pie feeling.

A bit better than the average American Pie movie, has some great emotional parts but the plot is still the same.

The phrase 'porking an oboe' was used too many times for this film to be acceptable. Once.

Why did I watch this? Lazy, unimaginative rubbish, almost entirely without merit. Six points for Eugene Levy, and one for the fact that I didn't turn it off half-way through.

Christopher Guest needs to write more movies for Eugene Levy to be in so he doesn't have to keep degrading himself with this dog shit.

Feels like what it is: the poor, straight-to-video relation of the first American Pie movie. Still some fun to be hand and some cute scenes, but the cast is less talented, the script not as funny or risqué, the laughs a bit more forced. Still, I've seen much worse light comedies.

Miss the old characters.. This stiffler isn't half as good as the previous one. Unbelievable plot and stifller is the only funny character in this movie. Well "funny".. Sometimes he annoyes me more than he makes me laugh.. The end was.. charming..

The god awful first two scenes properly set you up for the badness that follows. At least they're playing fair.

A decent sequel considering it is the 4th and none of the original characters is in it. If you want a better one however look into the Naked Mile

Arguably the best of the five “American Pie Presents” films, with the lead doing an ok Stifler impression and at least an attempt to change the setting. Major comedic set pieces consistently lame though.

I don't think there's a single 'joke' not telegraphed 5 minutes or more in advance - not good for a franchise that relies on timing gags.

Dumber, cruder, and poorly acted than all of the real American Pie films, this one is a painful thing to observe. Essentially a T&A soiree, its utter classlessness makes it... Utter crapulence!

While I didn't think it compared to the American Pie series as far as being a well put together film, I felt that it was still enjoyable in its own right, sticking to the formula and providing enough laughs to not be a waste of time.

Brainless waste of time. If you found this funny, consider a lobotomy. And that Matt Stifler character has a face only a mother could punch.
