American Cyborg: Steel Warrior

Routine but not without interest.

It's weird that everyone in my country knows Joe Lara by this direct-to-video film... which is a very stupid film shown on tv many many times. But hey, the moment he finds out that he is a cyborg too.. that was intense. (Oops, spoiler alert. Not that I care but..)

After a nuclear war, all humans have become sterile and are ruled by artificial intelligence. When Mary (Hansen) does give birth to a child, she has to flee, because she is being chased by an immortal murder robot (Ryan). Fortunately, she is helped by Austin (Lara).

Some movies are so bad they're actually good in a funny kind of way. Others are just truly bad with absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever, and are painful to get through. American Cyborg: Steel Warrior is one of those kinds of movies. This film is the epitome of horrid, cheap derivative. There isn't an original idea anywhere in sight, nor is there even a whiff of good craftsmanship, decent acting, decent cinematography, set designs, etc.

Incredibly violent sub-par Terminator nonsense, with the killer machine being reduced to a shambling hulk that has none of the menace of the original.
