America: The Motion Picture

I laughed more watching Ken Burns docs. This is painful boring garbage. Can Abe Lincoln say fuck?!

I'm giving points for Run the Jewels, a few funny jokes and a talented cast. It's trying to be insane and over the top, and it's certainly both of those things, but it's not endearingly so. It's try-hard and not clever. The animation is whatever and too many gags fall hideously flat. There was an opportunity here to satirize America but it's so simplistic that they can't build meaningful jokes. The BRO-NESS gets tiring and they repeat same jokes (did you know people were RACIST?)

This is what happens when you mix Drunk History with Archer. Would this have been better as a Anthology series with each season tackling a different era of American history? Yes. Could the screenplay have been refined more? Also yes. But at the end of the day this is just 90 minutes of dumb fun, made possible by an all-star cast. Just try to look past the overly bro-y nature of it all, and enjoy. As far as stupid over the top movies go, this one is actually mostly entertaining.

The jokes are either frat bro mockery with one punchline or references without a punchline. What makes this further nauseating is the liberal virtue signaling throughout where it pretends to have strong social consciousness but without understanding anything about the history or cultures it's lampooning. Maybe if this movie thought about its references of americana beyond mere references this may be funny, but it's more content in making it seem silly than having any wit to parody anything.

Alternative American history - himbo and bimbo style!

Really fucking dumb. The writers obviously want you to think they're really clever, nodding and winking about how "oh no we're too smart for this, but dumb people think this is real", while very much having its shitty cake and eating it. None of the satire of Team America, leaving basically dumb dude-bro-frat humour that falls incredibly flat. Given the kind of talent involved, it's a massive let down.

Perhaps it was just my mood, but I had to stop watching this after about 15 mins as it was just shite and I didn't want to waste another hour of my time. completely unfunny.

Anime America. Amerika'nın kuruluş hikayesi, gelecekle bağdaştırılsa nasıl olurdu? Hain subay Benedict Arnold, Abraham Lincoln'u öldürünce, kankası George Washington ve ekibi intikam almaya karar verir. Başta hareketli başlayan animasyon, sonlara doğru kakafoniye dönüşüyor. Yine de eğlenceli. Filmin sonunda, Hepimiz Amerikalıyız Kış olmadan bahar gelmez. Merhaba Denzel.

Just doesn't work. I guess it got influenced, very freely, from Hamilton but went soo far that it just went into bad territory. Has a few decent laughs but not much. You actually have to know the story for it to be funny which is a minus.

I don't care what anyone says, this is a new Fourth of July classic.

It's very dumb though, beware. Even if you need to know the myths and references, it's still dumb so not everyone will be amused.
