Dinesh D'Souza fights strawman arguments for 90 minutes and doesn't answer a single one. Apparently, the horrible things America has done in the past - slavery, manifest destiny, the Trail of Tears, military intrusion into foreign countries - is fine because of two reasons: We're America and Everyone Else Did It Too. Oh, and Hillary is evil, by the way.

Does this movie assume that the land the USA occupies would have turned into a vacuum? I mean, it's not like Canada and Australia are horrible places, or that the UK was so oppressive as to have squelched the industrial revolution. In fact, I'm relatively sure the industrial revolution started there and didn't get here for another few decades...But who am I to contradict history?

I'm not interested in this type of film or this director, so I don't want Criticker to recommend similar films for me.

Most of the film consists of refuting the widespread idea that USA is evil. Shallow and embarrassingly emotive at times, this movie has nevertheless some good arguments.
