Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds

The best way I can describe this film would be Defending Your Life meets Bleach, and I mean that in a good way. I found this to be an absurdly cool and fun film. On to the second one.

Neat concept but executed childishly. The protagonist is depicted as an holier-than-thou saint that had ONE nervous breakdown as a child and has mercilessly forever since spent his whole life atoning for this moment of weakness. Every other character is an selfish asshole and the gods have mental stability and maturity akin to a toddler. Having the protagonist’s mother being an ailing mute was just a juvenile cherry atop this self-flagellating Jesus fantasy.
