Some funny ideas, but offers too few laughs to be really enjoyable. The acting was poor and they missed some great chances to upgrade the level of this film. Becomes never more than a slightly entertaining film.

An easily forgettable kids movie with a generally stupid plot. It's not that I don't like the premise, that's fine, but it was carried out in a way that almost completely alienates all adults. Flip it on for your kids and walk away, that's pretty much all this movie has to offer.

Good hearted, good spirited riff on GREMLINS is decent fun with expectations appropriately set; too derivative and low-stakes to be truly engaging for older audiences, but livened by a good cast balanced on the edge of sincerity and pantomime, and the good natured tom-foolery of the aliens themselves, who prove likable antagonists. Side note: after Jamie Lee Curtis’ success at the Oscars last year, it’s odd that Roberts wasn’t worthy of a nomination here for doing essentially the same thing!

I laughed at Ricky's antics so much that my chest and stomach hurt so bad.

Pretty decent kid's movie, and good fun on a Christmas afternoon :)

Not that there's anything terribly bad left to say about the film--I think I've already adequately covered what needs to be covered. It's just that there's nothing particularly good to say, either. (pluggedin.com)

Home Alone with miniature alien burglars. Might keep the kids quiet for 90 minutes, but that's about it. There's a couple of genuinely funny moments but it's harmless forgettable fluff.

The aliens and what were ok but character-wise it's too reliant on stereotypes too be funny or interesting.

well ultimately it wasn't a very loud movie nor it could have done any harm to younger audience. jokes were really funny but overall it was a bad movie. plot and screenplay were dull.
