Ali Baba Goes to Town

Another zainy Eddie Cantor comedy! This time as a autograph seeker going to Hollywood, only to fall asleep at a movie set and dream about being Ali Baba in Baghdad many many years ago. Cantor is always full of laughs, but here I felt some of the originality of his act is fading. For me the highlight might be whats considered most dated element of the movie. His blackface act going all Cab Calloway with a scene full of Africans and a wonderful slender black girl stepping her ass off.
