Despite the unfocused narrative, "Alcarràs" thrives on Simón's ability to craft an environment, a feeling, and the beauty of the location is visually stunning. The film is full of lovely moments, and the familial atmosphere is endearing. However, the lack of a strong plot and character arcs may leave viewers feeling unfulfilled.

A stupendously detailed work that eschews the hammering of plot points in favor of a fly-on-the-wall sense of being there. This reminded me of Olmi's "Tree of Wooden Clogs", transported to modern Catalonia, though talkier and with different themes.

Creates a real feeling of place and I was invested in the characters, the family interactions are very relatable but it lacked impact for me.

I really loved this movie. It primarily depicts the rhythms of a vanishing way of life and I was enthralled by every minute of it.

Doesn't need any more of a plot than it has. Excellent performances by the amateur cast. Beautifully shot.

Realistic depiction of farmers, summer crop picking and family drama.

Arazi, tarım, bahçe, İspanya, tapu, çocuklar SPOILER arazilerinin tapuları olmayan bir aile, tapu sahibi kişilerin tahliyelerini istemesiyle yaz sonunda arazilerini terk edecektir. Arazi sahipleri güneş enerjisi panelleri kurmak istemektedir ve araziyi işleyenlere işçi olmayı teklif etmektedir. ÇOK SIKICI.

Cute little family drama with a careful attention to details -- the peach agriculture, the generational dynamics that seem both abrasive and loving, the angst of raising kids in a situation where your whole future is threatened by the arrival of solar panels entrepreneurs -- and an amazing cast of non-professional actors, specially the kids.

This is quite a pleasant watch for the most part I suppose - a little slow and plodding, pace wise but nice enough. There are some sadder scenes but also some amusing scenes as well. It very much depicts the life of a family during a summer while working on a farm and having to adapt to a changing society, threats from developers and so on. Its nice enough but a little bland at times perhaps. Not bad though. Not exactly gripping but not bad as world cinema goes.
