Alan Partridge's Scissored Isle

Alan Partridge is a comedy horse that will be flogged until it's just an impression on the stable floor, but this outing suggests there is still some life left in the character - if you know where to look for it. Many of the skits are entirely forgettable, but peppered throughout are a few real nuggets - not least an interview on a comedown that had me laughing at a Partridge sketch more than I have since...a similar one a few years ago. Not brilliant, but thankfully not terrible either.
