This was an interesting little drama that had a quick happy ending just when things were getting good.

Sweet minor Japanese film by Yasujirô Shimazu about a couple frozen out by the family. The man in the relationship is unemployed and unable to support his girl. And because of it he's disappointed with life and behaves nonchalant wanting to give up. The girl is still a believer that they could be happy. What changes things is the family's curiosity about the girl, and it's nice to see what a little kindness can do.
