LOL. fake from head to toe. Ms. Dadak has probably seen some Chris Marker and Gurcan Keltek movies and wanted to make something similar. Why does a film need to be about minorities, women, and capital's destruction in order to pass as "arthouse", or at least "art cinema"? Is it perhaps bc the film doesn't have any original voice, nor an aesthetic vision beyond steady cams and drones scanning the Istanbul we already know? I'd say yes. One needs more than friends at Altyazi to make a good film :)

Wow, this one worked surprisingly well for me. It's fascinating to see how some things, like the Romans and Byzantium, are just as far back in the past for the write in 1661 as they are for us today, while he lives through others that still are far in the past for us ("We were so excited when the Spice Bazaar opened.").
