I'm not sure what they were trying to do. Whatever it was, I did not get it. BTW: there is not one split second of horror here.

Starts off as an off kilter horror adjacent exorcist film (a mouthful I know) and then halfway through the tone literally shifts and it becomes a treatise on trauma, while Simultaneously poking holes in the trauma based horror films that have overtaken the genre. It has its cake and eats it too and Reece loves to shoot food

Agnes isn't bad at all. It has a good story. If you like indie horror movies, you will enjoy watching this film while ignoring some of the cheap scenes. Just don't expect too many scary moments, more of an intriguing drama.
