an ordinary man like the ordinary others who have caused the stagnation and destruction of an utopia. Well done tavarish... Perfect movie for the Brejnev era... I wish there had been more Katyusha rockets, sorry, angels in the USSR at that time.

Terrible man realises he's lonely, looks inside himself and realises that he is terrible. Tonally weird. The introspective parts, obnoxious behaviours and lighthearted mood are all completely infringing on each other and the result is unsatisfying. (Available to watch subtitled on Mosfilm's YouTube channel.)
