Totally unwatchable. Just terrible in every way you can possibly imagine. Not only a waste of a potentially fun concept, but chocked full off some the worst cinamatography you will ever see, as well as a mass of awful costume design and shite haircuts.

I wanted to like it, but the somewhat cool visual style couldn't hope to make up for the ridiculous story with plot holes the size of Jupiter. Tragic that the wonderful cartoon didn't get a better big-screen adaptation.

This film is garbage. Yes Charlize Theron is a gorgeous woman but frankly you don't have to watch pure trash in order to see that. Karyn Kusama has absolutely no knowledge of how to direct an action scene. All the rapid cuts can't hide the fact the action is so poorly shot you can tell everyone is faking it. Add to the fact the dialog and story behind this is absolutely terrible and you've got a film no one should ever watch on purpose.

Didn't I write this in Junior High School?! ...I'd better go check my old notebooks, I might be able to sue someone. I wouldn't have thought it possible to make a movie that couldn't be saved by sexy ladies in tight leather. Oh well!

Seems like the director was too busy gawking at Theron in her various tight outfits to worry about an interesting story. Saw this with a computer geek, who loved it, so apparently that's all you really need! Whilst she is pretty pretty, it doesn't cover up the fact that this story is a mix up of stolen ideas from far greater works of art: There's a bit of Dark City, 1984, Matrix - even Equilibrium - and I just feel ... wait. You never read beyond "Charlize Theron in tight outfits" did you?...

Visually arresting, but thin on plot. The acting is sub-par, the dialogue is about as corny as you can get, and the "message" of the movie is laughable at best. If you can even find it in the first place.

What above all occupied the minds of the filmmakers was, very clearly, how best to calculate the "demographic" towards which this product is targeted. And yet, does this demographic actually exist? Score based on partial viewing (full viewing would in all likelihood result in an even lower score).

A feminist propaganda, disguised as an action film. Notice when Aeon puts the semen-like liquid to heal the wounded man. This is supposed to be a reversal of gender roles, something Karyn Kusama knows a lot about with her manly face. In addition, notice the old decrepit man dressed in a phallic costume. This is supposed to show how men will have no 'virile power' once Kusama institutes her utopia of feminism. Also a disgrace to the cartoon's artist: he felt 'hopeless and sad' upon watching this.

OK, first I have to admit, I have liked Charlize for a long time. She has to be one of the hottest women I have ever seen. Those eyes are...amazing. I am blathering...on to the movie....Yeah...this movie was pretty sweet. The speceffects were pretty nice. Did I mention that C.Theron was in this, lol, and she is quite thermal! I am talking on a mercury scale: -F to 212F, she is steam!!!

Ok, ill gave it 5 points extra because Ms Theron is ridiculously hot in this move ( in any movie:)) but the rest is all rather boring and badly edited. What we get is a bad paced, badly written (and sometimes badly acted) movie with semi low budget CGI. I bet the comic book was a whole lot cooler/better.

Dreadful (and probably would have been worse had I ever watched the TV series). The 90-minute running time of this movie wasn't sufficient for the plot as there was just no time to develop the milieu and the characters that populate it. What's so bad about the Goodchild regime? We're told that it's oppressive but don't really see it on the screen because the film is zipping by. Another low point: The editing on the action scenes makes them nearly incoherant.

Aeon Flux is a film that diffuses any claim to entertainment value by trying to have things both ways as an action/sci-fic flick. Those seeking action have to sit through a convoluted plot and lots of muddled talking head action, while those looking for a cerebral futuristic concept will find things just as skimpy on that end in order to accommodate the lengthy stunt and special effects pieces.

Misguided compromise tries to marry cool, surreal, vague, disjointed style of the original work with a formulaic Hollywood plot but ends up an incompetent mess. Aeon Flux looks great and Theron and Csokas are certainly charismatic but this really never should have been made.

The story is pretty stupid, and the style doesn't really make up for it. A lot of the outfits look like they are for style, rather than for purpose, which seems kind of anti-feminist, which this movie seems to go for the opposite of. Every strong character in the movie is female. Not a surprise it has a female director. Some of the "gadgets" that are in this movie are really stupid. No real explanation or pseudo-science to explain, just have to buy these completely unrealistic things.

I went in with low expectations and partly expected to have to stop the movie because of the main character tumbling around in skimpy outfits. There's an element of that here, and that's annoying. The movie did surprise me however in that the skimpy-outfitness doesn't actually get as bad as I thought it might, and the plot is fun. There are several opportunities to rely too heavily on a gimmick of this scifi universe they play in, and I don't think they did that. I'd watch it again.
