Adam's Apples is a hilariously absurd movie about the worst rehabilitation program ever. Nothing goes the way you would expect it to, in the darkest way possible.

This is a fun, quirky little comedy from Denmark. It wasn't always absolutely hilarious, but it had several good, funny moments. In saying that, it became quite dark at points, too, which I liked. It also had some interesting things to say about people and religion. Mads Mikkelsen was great, as he usually is. I don't think the humour would appeal to everyone, but I do recommend it.

A hilarious film, gradually developing from a bergmanesque story into utter absurd.

One of the most hilarious, most thought provoking, most sad and most incredibly bizarre movies I've ever seen, all at once. Not to mention that it's genius.

The poster and description leads one to expect THE VICAR OF DIBLEY with a neo-Nazi; that’s not quite what you get, but it is admirably single-minded in its eccentricity, refusing to follow the usual trail of a fish-out-of-water/battle of wills. The final product is so tonally and defiantly odd that it is somewhat difficult to embrace; moments of harsh violence weave together with blithe whimsy to create a unique atmosphere – may well benefit from a rewatch, knowing where the story is heading.

Where this is absurd - and that's in many instances - the cast play it so straight that it's elevated above where it would otherwise be. Also, there's a delicious dollop of dark, dark comedy served up, with an odd but clever mix of sudden violence and slapstick. Strange, but very good all the same.

Totally Politically incorrect, yet at the same time surprisingly good. Not a laugh-out-loud-movie, still funny at some points.

Much darker than I expected and funnier. A plot like "criminal learns about being kind from wacky priest" is the kind of thing I usually stay far away from, but Adam's Apples did it well. Mostly thanks to Mikkelsen's great performance.

Shockingly dark comedy that is ultimately quite moving, handling its simple but powerful theme with a light touch. It is also laugh out loud funny.

What I learned from this movie: Old cats fall from trees.

Was expecting more comedy, but I got more drama instead. The end result is a bit mixed and at no point was I thinking "ooh boy, I sure am enjoying the hell out of this movie!". Still, Mikkelsen is always a joy to watch and it's competently made.

An odd, but successful mixture between a biblical parable and a dark comedy.

This is just brilliant! An array of truly interesting characters, that all just perfectly fit in the plot, which is not really as much amusing as it is all touching, bizarre and thought provoking. Ignorance is bliss!

Pretty weird movie, however absolutely hilarious!

An odd sort of film, going back and forth from comedy to drama and never really latching onto any particular tone but at the same time succeeding in both. The last scene was remarkably heartwarming even if that very final moment was silly.

A different view of today's reality... and an insanely cracking trip to the limits of good, evil, and the power of faith. Written/directed and acted by the very best of Denmark.

Rather than thinking this was funny I just found it depressing and weird. The thing is, if it isn't funny then I'm not sure what the point of it is. Overall while this was a well made and acted movie, it was hard to enjoy and I didn't see much artistic merit either.

As the summary says, it is indeed a wickedly dark comedy. What it also is, is a beautiful feel-good story about faith. No, no, no. Don't get me wrong. There's no evangelism or no preaching involved here. It's just that the movie makes you think while you are watching it and even after you are done with it. A few plot-lines may require a leap of faith and most audiences will be fine with that. I highly recommend this as a watch if you don't mind the subtitles.

I didn't find it funny at all, just very dark and terrible. Overall nothing to be excited about.

This is one of the darkest, strangest, most bizarre films I've ever seen - it's utterly odd, but it's legitimately funny, and I had a lot of honest laughs.

Unlike anything I've ever seen.

Started out great, then started to suck after that storm scene in the church. I don't know why, really. It started out so funny, clever and original and then turned into the utmost cliché-based outcome possible. Dragged the whole thing down for me, way down. Beyond the ocean. Huhu.

A bit macabre, a bit funny, a bit clumsy ending, thus mostly not predictable. Nice cinematography.

Well tell me who can drop this into comedy genre?!! I should get drunk, couse I don't want to remember any of this...

Glad to see I'm not the only one who found this hilarious. It's so dark that you sometimes feel bad for laughing, but it's also so damn absurd that it's brilliant.

Quirky and memorable, it's definitely worth a look.

One of the darkest and funniest movies I've seen in awhile. Just when I thought they were going to let up - they double down

I remember still while watching this, when it came out, that it wasn't humanly possible to be able to laugh that much; and the whole audience seemed to agree. Superbly politically incorrect, if I can say that, from beginning till the end.

That Movie is so genius...I can't compare it to any other film I have ever seen in my life. The blackest Comedy I've seen in years. In some scenes you don't know if you want to laugh or be sad. Some moments and dialoges are so incredibly absurd. One of my favorite movies in the last years.

A heartwarming story about a nazi skinhead baking a cake. No, seriously! What I love the most is the Ronald Dahlian atmosphere; bizarre, anything can happen, yet it all fits in with eachother.
