Mahsun Kırmızıgül sinemasında bir hayal kırıklığı noktası

Granted, the writing could be a lot better (normally this bothers me horribly - perhaps because much of it is in Turkish with subtitles it was somehow less bothersome than it otherwise might be), but this flick is quite watchable. Haluk Bilginer is wonderful, and Gina Gershon is always fun to watch.

If this is the first Hollywood quality production political action thriller in Turkish cinema (it was advertised as such), then Turkish cinema has no future. Amongst the awfulness pervading the movie dialogue is the worst. And whoever thought those glows look cool should be exterminated.

a good proof of the fact that mahsun kirmizigul, no matter what, should keep making movies. the director once again shows that he is a good movie watcher above all else and easily relates with his viewers accordingly. with that said, however, kirmizigul is still weak on screenwriting. bilginer is as awe-inspiring as always and the cinematography is simply wonderful. had the script held up, this could've been the defining turkish action flick.
