Ken Annakin directed this English production, photographed in Spain, which some English critics regarded as their best thriller since THE THIRD MAN. (There may not have been much competition.) If the film had sustained the tension of its opening scenes the comparison with THE THIRD MAN might be apt, but the middle of the picture (and it's an extended middle) falls apart
