Unwed single mother Vanaja (Urvashi) & her daughter Ashwathy (Meera Jasmine) were more of friends than mother & daughter, but when Ashwathy falls in love with struggling ambulance chaser Ijo (Narein), Vanaja opposes it because Ijo was an orphan, didn't have a family & she wanted to marry Ashwathy off into a big family.
