Accusée... levez-vous!

Uneven first half, a better focused finale. For the first part came across like those 1st generation Hollywood musicals with lots of backstage bitching and not much else. Then a murder occurs which sets the stage for a trial which is where the movie comes more to life. Maurice Tourneur does a good job directing this considering it's a very early all-talking French picture. The dialogue doesn't come across awkward at all and there is little to complain about as regards to the acting.
