Creepy-kid meet evil-tree. Family falls apart. Things turn to blood. Blah blah blah. Then we get to the final revelation and the truth of the matter is shattering and heartbreaking. Come on! With real horror like that in your hands, writers, why make us endure an hour and a half of the tritest clichés?

Fooled me into thinking it was a legitimately great movie right up until the end. Still thought it was quite good, however; haven't been this creeped out by a film since Audition.

I like several works that mix horror and drama, but in Acacia the horror is tame and the drama feels hokey, so the entire thing falls flat. If you're in the mood for a creepy and melancholic South Korean film with beautiful cinematography, I'd recommend watching A Tale of Two Sisters instead.

It reminded me of The Village: actually a family melodrama and not really a horror movie, per se. The first half ridiculously sucks, but the second half is above-average, not great, for its genre.

I never knew a horror film could be this boring.

Pretty run of the mill Asian horror; the images are scary, sure, but without a coherent, interesting narrative it falls apart.
