Aayirappara

Shauri (Mammootty), a politically active young man, has to leave his Kuttanad village & run off after he kills one of the goons who were stirring up trouble in the village by pitting the Hindus & Christians against each other. Years later, Shauri returns in disguise only to find that his mother (Sukumari) & sister had committed suicide & the whole village was being oppressed by a rich outsider, Ponnu Chetty (Vijayakumar) who had settled down there.
