There is truly nothing better than to see a romance which is not based on anything but love to come alive on the big screen. Mandy Moore and Shane West did a phenomenal job portraying the parts of Landon and Jamie. You find yourself being heartbroken at the turn of the movie, and forever remembering the quote that really summed up the movie. "Love is like the wind. You cannot see it but you can always feel it." Nicholas Sparks did a brilliant job in creating this story.

Oh poor Mandy Moore, she's sick and she's gonna die! And her idiotic boyfriend will be there until the end, played by one of the most incompetent actors ever seen on screen. Breaks my heart.

If your looking for a movie that will bring tears to your eyes and make you thankful for the people you love th most, then A Walk To Remember is def. a movie that will stay attached to your heart. In this film a wild teenage boy finds himself falling in love with a girl that he was only using to prove a point. As this romance captures ur eyes, you will be enticed by the final ending of the film. Mandy Moore truley shows her true acting skills in this moive as she express what love truely is.

"For anyone under 13, free from cynicism and with a need to believe that 17 year-old boys aren't just after one thing, maybe this film rocks. For anyone else - except those for who enjoy spotting continuity errors - possibly not."

Ew. A film to avoid unless the thought of a schmaltzy, melodramatic mess so fucking over the top with its warmhearted stickiness that it'll make you gag sounds like a good time.

I can’t work “never having to say you’re sorry” into this review, but it encompasses where the film duly treads: neither the best nor worst of the Sparks craze, and benefits from fine work from Moore and West, and an admirable lack of clutter in its storytelling (though the repercussions of the opening prank seem too severe). The melodrama is turned on a smidge too much, essentially flooding the final act with too much contrived emotion, drowning the viewer rather than floating them along.

i am such a sucker for these type of films, some kind of wonderful and 16 candles are other favourites. but this is my favourite of all. the songs and singing was so sweet and nice. there was no pointless melodrama in the film, no break up or anything, just genuine niceness and wholesomeness. wish i jad a jaimie to be mine. the end was not sad but with a hopeful future. in god we trust and believe. amen

Quite possibly my favorite film in Nicholas Spark's entire collection. I still have more of his to see that I've never seen before, but this is the one I've seen the most because I've connected the most to the characters. It's incredibly fluffy, though - which doesn't bode well for aging purposes, and feels like it should be among PureFlix films, but it's not a bad movie at all. I think about it often.

A good clean love story. Actually a modern romance where they aren't in bed after the first date. If you want to, you'll find a lot to hate on: Chick flick, Nicolas Sparks, not 100% original, religion isn't painted negatively, weepy ending (ooh, the movie wants me to care, it's manipulative!). See this movie so you can tell everyone how much you hated it. Otherwise see it and be pleasantly surprised. Recommended either way..

Such a waste of talent putting the lovely Mandy Moore in such a sappy sad lackluster movie. I was barely able to suffer through the whole thing, only by skipping over half the scenes of the movie was I able to see the ending credits. Sorry, but she needs to get a lot more discerning about her roles, as I am getting to the point that if her name is in the credits my gut reaction is to avoid it like the plague. The sad thing is that she is not truly terrible, but the material she selects is.

Pretty decent movie for no big ticket actors. If I had to put it one way I would say you wouldn't regret if you saw or missed this movie. The movie is high on love & emotional quotient. I call it the mushy-mushy type of movies, the ones that would make girls sit and wet handkerchiefs sobbing! Guys would probably go - "Awe man...move on with it!"

Mandy Moore is pretty hot, except for when she's dying of leukemia. Shane West blew ass, and like most Sparks' books turned movie, the story is great but the direction, plot, and male acting are all terrible. No exception here.

I'm a sucker for schlock like this. Mandy Moore was adorable in her role, and the idea of unending love, that someone can care so passionately for someone else knowing that they aren't long for this earth is kind of what keeps hope alive. Or something like that. I'd love to write something sarcastic here, considering how religious this movie was, but honestly, I enjoyed it.

I could order from the BakeMark USA LLC and still not find as much sugar as this film had. Also, at times it felt as if Shrek's prompter card guy had weaseled his way into this film, holding up cards that read, "Awww!", "Cry", "Sob", "NOW BAWL, BAWL, BAWL!" Seriously?

Not a Nicholas Sparks fan by any means, but the novel that this is based on is one of his best. And, the movie does NOT live up to the book at all. It's not offensive but neither is it, well .... good. It's just ... kind of there. When my 14 year old students tell me the book is better than the film, you'd be better off skipping the movie and visiting the library!!!

I have read some deprecating reviews of this movie, there are people who say it's a chick flick, but it bothers me the least. I got to see a cute movie with its emotional moment towards the end, nice soundtrack, everything is good, talking about the cast Mandy Moore looks innocent. You won't regret watching this movie and recommending it to your love or for that matter anybody. But please don't recommend it to someone who is into action movies.

Yes, Mandy Moore, you are fucking hot. Yet again we have a fucking hot chick that is unpopular at school for no real reason until the guy falls in love with her and then the movie plays out exactly the way you'd think a Nicholas Sparks book turned into a movie would play out. I fucking hate Nicholas Sparks.

OK, I'll admit it - I read the book, and it's about eight-billion times better. I know it's common for the book to be better than the movie, but seriously, this takes it to another level. This movie is pure trash.

Nicolas Sparks is commited to the love story, and in comparison to 2004's The Notebook, this film couldn't hold a candle to it. The concept of the film as a whole is poignant however the manner in which the film shows the out of contol senior falling for this church girl whom he ruthlessly degrades at the start of the movie is unrealistic to the point of humor. Even pushing that aside the acting does not translate the feelings that the viewer should be feeling and the storyline itself does not
