Em honra do centenário de Martin Balsam filme #2. Até semana passada eu nem sabia que o Martin Balsam já havia ganho um Oscar de coadjuvante, talvez porque o filme lhe deu não seja muito lembrado hoje como foram alguns grandes clássicos de que participou. Apesar da óbvia estruturação teatral dos diálogos, esse filme é divertido, sobretudo pela extraordinária atuação de Jason Robards. HDTV REGRET.

I tried watching this after reading the book "When the Shooting Stops ... the Cutting Begins" that has a chapter on the editing of this film. Unfortunately, having seen how the sausage is made made this unpalatable

hokey, sloppy about its message, woman character sucked

Talky, obviously a stage-play. Still, Jason Robards is fine here, and his character is correct: "You can never have too many eagles."

I remember this as a wonderful movie. If only they would issue it on DVD so I could see if my memories are correct.
