A black Fatal Attraction type of film and Martin Lawrence surprisingly plays a straight role better than I expected I'm not really sure why but it just didn't do much for me one way or the other

A Thin Line Between Love and Hate is a lackluster example of Black cinema. The movie is a remake of Fatal Attraction. I really enjoyed a lot of the comedy. I liked the moments of 90's Black culture in the movie - the appearance of Snoop Dogg and the Dogg Pound Gang added some oomph to the film. The moments between Lynn Whitfields turn to Lawrence's redemption was too slow and it turned me off of the movie. The movie had a good message and I am glad I watched it but it isn't great.
