A Semente do Mal

On passera sur le fait que le frère, et sa compagne acceptent et foncent tête baissée, pour séjourner dans un immense domaine avec deux parfaits inconnus. On passera sur le choix du design d'Amélia qui ressemble à la duchesse d’Espagne Cayetana (en fin de carrière). Et aussi sur le fait que l'intrigue est recyclée sur Abuela (Paco Plaza). La mise en scène est soignée, les acteurs sont bons, le mystère est entier... mais les incohérences sont nombreuses et il n'y a pas vraiment de rythme.

No shame in rising the stakes in curious ways and playing like a flat-out farce: cheesy, weirdo and, yes, creepy take on witch horror through twins played by the very good Diamantino actor, make-up straight out of an Eddie Murphy comedy and a knack for funny bits -- family dancing -- and subtle depiction of witchcraft -- old manor owner who was once painted by Goya and has kids with her kids to remain alive, sometimes young. Execution feels scattered, but final result is just an amusing mess.
