A Quiet Day in Belfast

The climax is so over the top that it verges on the comical ... the wrong Margot Kidder is literally tarred and feathered; some nasty Irish scamps steal an IRA terrorist's parcel and they're all blown up in the tussle; a whole gaggle of charming Irish folks have hoe-down in the betting shop to celebrate a major dog track win (complete with a pint of Guiness and a fiddle) only to be blown up by a stray bomb. It's really just awful and oh-so-sincere, but I kind of enjoyed it despite myself.
