there aren't words to explain the nuances that led to me, multiple times, laughing so hard I woke my wife up. That's the crown for this movie and all I really need to say. For memory lane: heavy on Groucho, but my favorite scene is a frenetic game of charades as Harpo gestures to Chico that there is a plot to kill Groucho.

I miss Zeppo. Comedically, he was worthless, but he was good for balance. You've got Harpo, Chico and Groucho being totally insane and surreal, and everyone else is just straight man, and Zeppo was in between. Anyway, Night in Casablanca has a few good laughs, but by this time (their last movie together) it was all somewhat rote and routine. Too much story taking up time that could have spent on more classic Groucho/Chico interplay.

While A.N.I.C might lack the disagreeable elements of their worst MGM films (i.e. bad songs and boring romantic leads), that isn't a sufficient enough reason to praise it. Unlike Go West or even The Big Store, it has no great set pieces or truly memorable moments to compensate for its shortcomings. It's a lethargically paced comedy that finds the middle aged Marx's struggling to produce any real laughs, and it's too ensnared in dull plot mechanics to allow them to improvise and work their magic.

It drags a bit between set pieces but when you have bits that good, you get to have down time. The "stopping the film dead for a music interlude" doesn't work for me.

There are some good gags amongst the tedium. The main problem is the poor supporting cast, except for Lisette Verea who is eye catching and menacing. The final shot of the three Marx brothers chasing Verea is a satisfying way to end the film.

A lot of almost funny jokes and a ton of that Marx mayhem we all love. Never a dull moment, but also not the gang at its sharpest. Best bits for me was the packing scene, swashbuckling Harpo and Chico's excellence at the piano. If you like their zany energy, you'll have a good time with A Night in Casablanca (1946).

Decent enough comedy with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments (mostly with the witty Groucho lines), though it also strikes me as a fairly unimpressive effort with some comedy moments that needed tightening up because they ran out of humour well before they ended

Consistently paced jokes but the plot isn't and it leaves some scenes flat.

It definitely drags in parts, but if this is them when they're not at the top of their game I gotta see their earlier stuff.

The Nazis make easy targets for humor, but although this is pretty funny, it's hardly a classic. The editing and pacing is way off; their act seems to work best when its rapid-fire (although it reached this during the trunks scene), while this seemed indulgent and slow at certain points, and definitely felt more reheated than inspired.

One of the last great outings for the Marx Bros., A Night in Casablanca has a few signs of wear around the edges, but the trio is in fine form and the production values actually add to the proceedings for once.

Hilariously awful editing.

You understand why they went their separate ways after this; while there are some brilliant bits, and the plot is oddly enough probably stronger than most of their more successful movies (though having actual Nazis in a Marx movie feels weird), a lot of it just feels like a repetition of something that worked better the first time.

There are a couple great scenes in here underneath a plot I am not interested in trying to follow. Harpo playing the harp is always the best part of these films anyway.

A sad attempt to recreate the Marx Brothers glory days. Well . . . at least the profits helped pay Chico's gambling debts!

The trunk scenes alone a worth watching this movie.

Better than most Marx brothers movies, but a poor film in general. It takes a special kind of person to be able to appreciate this. Although, the duel scene was decent.

Not their funniest movie, but there were a couple good gags.

Funny, but not as funny as most Marx Brothers' films, which is to be expected when you look at the date.

One of the Marx's most under-rated moviesmovies, perhaps because it is also their last; fans hoping for a really strong send-off instead get a solid, sometimes evokative studio comedy.
