Promising start, lost it in the middle, yet still pretty good

Strangely but highly mesmerising. Takes some getting used to, though. Probably needs several viewings to be fully appreciated.

Wow, pretty strange stuff. My first Grandrieux experience and I have to say I have mixed feelings. Uber-artsy and experimental, I zoned out a few times. Other times it really grabbed me - there are images and scenes here that will stick with me. An interesting film (with singular style) that I think I'll have to come back to after watching Sombre and Un Lac. Anna Mouglalis was hot, and pretty funny to see that dude from so-bad-its-good tv series FlashForward in the lead here.
