Cute and enjoyable. Animated expressively, with lots of creative shots and angles. Doesn't deviate too terribly much from the standard Hollywood plotline, but moves along nicely, without having to be as self-conscious about its story as a Dreamworks movie. Has good music, though occasionally feels more like modern pop than its milieu. But that milieu is drawn strongly, and gives a lot of flavor. Recommended to get some variation in your kids'-movie diet.

An imperfect yet very likable film. A lot of heart and charm was put into this, it especially shines during any flashback, dream or music sequence, but with these ups comes downs the plot is very weak and sometimes seemed a bit to derivative of Dreamworks (maybe it's the dub.) Even the animation itself was a little inconsistent with an odd background or two that looked just a little too clean.

Beautifully animated non-American full feature. Smooth and solid camera drives, but the script was the weakest link, though it should be the most important part of the movie. The slap stick humour was included, you'll like it or not. But keep on a good job, French. We'll need more, fresh animations for the field.

This was pretty good. The best part about the film was the music. The dance sequences were also very well done. I did find it strange that the lead character looked like Lucky from the Lucky Charms box. I also loved the idea of a flea being turned into a 9 foot tall monster, who sings and dances. I loved the lead girls voice and her singing voice was amazing as well. The soundtrack to this would be worth buying. I wish Dreamworks had animated this, it would be even better.

An odd little story, half unusual concept, half nothing new or exciting but just... overall odd? But in a good way? I can't even really describe it, but I can say that it stole my heart and still holds onto it. It's beautiful animation, and I do recommend watching it with subs (but then I usually do) because, while there's nothing terrible about the dub, the songs are utterly gorgeous in the original French music. I rewatch this one regularly. La Seine, la Seine, la Seine!

interesting concept and setting at first, and some of the designs are nice too. However, some characters are not that interesting and the plot is forgettable once the "action" picks up. Some kids might find it hard to sit all the way through past the middle of the movie.

Dull and not very visually appealing either.

Charming if unspectacular animated caper with some catchy musical numbers.

This is a tough one to describe. I feel like I liked it more than I should have, for what it was. The story's very weak, especially at the end when they literally just change one character's entire personality in order to come up with a happy ending, and yet... it doesn't matter. It's fun, it's sweet, and the musical numbers are fun. Also the animation is quite pretty.

A mostly bland, sometimes amateurish animated period piece/mad science piece. Highlights include Danny Huston as a literal mustache-twirling villain, one good character design, and a couple setpieces.

Sweet and beautiful, this French animation is a heart-warming piece of work. It also has a very pleasing soundtrack.

a beautifully executed French animation with lots of plot holes and a very weak script.. Could have been a much better movie with a little more effort..Strange songs sung by Sean Lennon and Vanessa Paradis.
