A Merry War

This is a pretty average period drama of its type. There's little to set it apart from others and it has a TV film look to it. Its pretty run of the mill, you could guess some of what happens certainly and im not entirely sure what happened to bring about the ending either. Its quite focussed on social class - peoples ability to move up or down depending on their trade and so on. I wouldn't rush out of your way to see it as there's no real laugh out loud moments, no.

An exceptionally pointless cinematic effort. I don't care if it's based on a literature classic and demands accolades solely on that merit. It has not earned any. It's boring AF. People gripe about being broke and loiter around London. Hurrah?
