A lot of this film felt realistically gritty. An authenticity that give it its vibe. Perhaps not up there with the major neo-realism/new wave style productions from post-war Europe, but it definitely got that appeal in this portrayal of life at the docks, and I'm sure those that like those kind of films will appreciate this one from Marcello Pagliero.
